Which Car Is Best For The Long Drive?
If you are a road-tripper or go long miles by car for pleasure or business, they should fulfill specific requirements. These cars should be relatively powerful, roomy enough to handle passengers and baggage comfortably, and fuel-efficient enough to make driving pleasurable and inexpensive.
During your long-distance excursions, they must be dependable and safe enough to put you at ease.
Here is a look at the top long-DRIVE cars across many categories.
1. Honda Civic
Perfect. That is the Honda Civic. It has superb handling and a comfy interior. During the road test, whatever concerns we had about the insufficient power of its diesel engine were dispelled.
It achieves triple-digit speeds with astonishing ease. If absolute power is what you crave, you will not enjoy the Civic.
However, suppose a pleasant interior, outstanding ride quality, highway manners, and the ability to make the chassis comply with your every desire on ghat stretches are what you seek. In that case, the Civic will quickly win your heart.
2. Kia Carnival
We had to wrack our brains to choose the best MPV for long-distance travel. The Kia Carnival ultimately had everyone nodding in agreement.
It's pricey, but it's the closest you can get to a business-class experience for the price. The only issue with the Carnival as a long-distance car is that we have yet to observe how it handles rough roads.
3. Honda Jazz 2014-2020
Choosing a car from this sector was difficult. Typically, hatchbacks are not recognized for their road-tripping ability.
However, we chose the diesel Jazz because of its good collection of amenities, spacious interior, and fuel-efficient yet powerful engine. The only disadvantage is that the Jazz's diesel engine may become quite noisy when pushed.
4. Ford Endeavour
We have stated it. If we had to choose one car from the entire list, it would be a toss-up between the Endeavour and the Honda Civic. Eventually, you would have to choose between the Endeavour's go-anywhere capability and the Civic's ability to navigate tight turns.
Ford has shrunk the Endeavour's engine to meet BS6 regulations, indirectly improving its fuel economy.
While we regret the earlier Endeavor's power, the new engine is adequate for comfortable highway travel. And if you want to take it off-road, you can do it with relative ease.
5. Skoda Rapid
Having driven this car, I must say that its ride quality is exceptional. The diesel engine mated with the DSG transmission makes long, open expanses exciting. With the advent of BS6, diesel has been discontinued. I hope that the new 1.0-liter gasoline TSI has as much power as the diesel version.
