General Bipin Rawat No More in Helicopter Crash : See What Happend
The news of General Bipin Rawat’s helicopter crash has come as a huge shock to the entire nation. The Indian Air Force has confirmed that the chief of Defence staff died in a helicopter crash. The union defence minister, Rajnath Singh also briefed the Parliament about the same. “
The Chief of Defence Staff would be cremated with full military honours. A tri-service enquiry is also ordered by IAF into the helicopter crash”, Rajnath Singh said.

General Bipin Rawat was born in Uttarakhand on 16th March, 1958.
He was India’s first chief of defence staff. He was appointed in 2019. This was done in order to upgrade coordination between the navy, army and air force. Previously, he served the nation as the chief of India’s army. Also, he commanded various units in uneasy regions of the country while focusing on the streamlining of the military.
What exactly happened?
General Bipin Rawat was on his way to defence services staff college in Wellington in Coonoor. This is when the helicopter crashed in the forested area at 12:20PM. The incident took place in Nilgiris district. Including General Bipin Rawat and his wife, there were 11 other people on board from armed forces personnel. J J Singh, the former army chief confirmed that the helicopter was safe and he himself has travelled on the same during tough situations.
According to the local residents, the helicopter came with a loud sound, hitting the tree. After the chopper hit the ground, the natives rushed to the spot while calling the fire station and police immediately. A man all in flames was seen running out, while four others who came out had severe burn injuries.

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett in a tweet said, "My thoughts & prayers are with the families of those who perished in the tragic helicopter crash in India. May their souls rest in peace".
